Gandy Dancer Segment

Monday was the shortest and easiest hike of the 3 day weekend.  We hiked 9.8 miles and stayed on the Gandy Dancer the entire time, which is a flat, straight, boring bike trail.  The hike started in Centuria and we headed north to Luck.  When I return to this area, I will have about 1 more mile on the Gandy Dancer, a few miles of road walk, and then a good portion of trail to Interstate Park and the western terminus.

The day was pretty uneventful.  I waited for Jared at a rest stop along the trail in Centuria that had a heated building and bathrooms.  The building had the heat on full blast and it was way too hot.  During the entire time we only saw one biker.  We walked pretty quickly and did the entire hike in three hours and six minutes with an average pace of 19:03 per mile.  The weather was a little cooler than it had been the last couple days.

Overall it was a good hike and a good end to the weekend.  We hiked about 42 miles between the three days!
